This home features ranch style living and a very functional floor plan for that active family, both large and small. The entry has brand new flooring and is adjacent to the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. The living room houses a brand new Pottery Barn queen size sofa sleeper for additional sleeping, has large picture windows with lake views, a nice TV system that includes built in Roku, networks, sound bar and WIFI. For the musician in the family....you'll find a magnificent piano waiting for you in the corner that whispers "come and sit down...". Next to the brick fireplace is one of a few areas in the home that is stocked with toys and games for both children and adults alike for that wonderful family bonding time. You'll find two bedrooms off of the living area, as well as a full size bathroom. The first bedroom features a twin on top and full on bottom set of bunks. The beds and bedding are of high quality and all of the linens are new. The second bedroom houses a queen size bed and a new modern foam mattress and has views of the lake. The other side of the living area has some fabulous additional spaces to join together; including an pen dining room with a cozy table, two bar stools at the island in the kitchen, as well as the three seasons room between the dining area and the deck. New flooring, stainless steal appliances and multiple new fixtures can be found in this charming place you can call home (for awhile at least). Another full size bathroom and the master bedroom are located off of the kitchen area. The master bedroom is extremely large and houses a queen size bed as well as a twin size trundle bed that can be pulled out to house two additional guests, or children who prefer to be close to their parents. The home was very well planned, organized and comes with many extra touches.
Nice parking area and easy to find. You follow a deck into the home! The back yard is huge and would be ideal for yard games and simply chasing your kids and grandkids around. The deck is large off of the back of the home and has a table and chairs, along with loungers for....well, lounging. A charcoal grill is provided for outdoor cooking and frying up the "daily catch". The yard is partially shaded and partially sunny. The boat house located by the lake has kayaks, a row boat for fishing as well as a Sunfish sailboat to use; there are multiple sizes of life jackets as well as a nice variety of water toys. The Boat House is where it's all at! Down by the lake you'll have a fire ring for late night fires, and during the day you'll have a nice 50 foot private dock, with a ladder, to swim off of and launch your watercraft. Elk Lake IS an all sports lake and is also a part of the well known "Chain of Lakes", so bring your boat and go explore the other lakes and charming towns that surround you in Northern Michigan.
Did I mention the farms...? You'll be able to drive down your road to local farm stands and buy fresh fruits and vegetables. We like to call that "farm to table" dining, and it's available right in your back yard.
7/28/17 - "The cleanliness of the house was excellent! Also all the extra pillows, blankets, kitchenware, bath towels, beach towels, outdoor toys, boats, rafts etc. The staff was very helpful as well. The deck was great for all of us to sit and enjoy." -Jill J,
