This charming A Frame home is conveniently located between Traverse City and Suttons Bay! With four bedrooms, it is a perfect spot for large families or two families who wish to share. Situated on 32 very private acres, you'll enjoy panoramic views of West Grand Traverse Bay and the countryside. The recently repainted Chalet has a glass enclosed sun porch...a great place to work on a puzzle, read a book, or enjoy the sunrise. Please enjoy the complimentary bottle of local wine upon your arrival!
You’ll want to visit the many local wineries along M-22 and enjoy not only the wine, but also their views and atmosphere. Take advantage of the surrounding golf courses and nearby boat launches on both Lake Leelanau and West Bay. Fishing charters and rentals are available in nearby beach towns. You’ll also want to take the drive to the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore for fun on the beaches, biking and incredible views. The Leelanau Bike Trail connecting Traverse City and Suttons Bay is less than a mile from the property. In addition Boughey Park with its own sandy beach is just at the bottom of the hill and road that slope down from the chalet. Take a short drive to Suttons Bay or Traverse City...explore our towns, they're fabulous with lots of shopping, art and dining. There always seems to be a music, art or wine or beer festival happening in one of the nearby communities.
In the fall, Leelanau County is a popular destination for color tours, wine tasting, dining, golf or just a long relaxing weekend get away. Spring, summer or fall we are located in the middle of all northern Michigan has to offer all in a secluded, natural setting.
Weekly reservations during prime summer months are Saturday to Saturday.

The main floor of the chalet features a bedroom with a queen size bed, a full bathroom, laundry facilities, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. The sun porch has large windows, amazing views, and a full size futon for extra guests. We offer internet, a TV with limited cable and a DVD player.
The upstairs has a bedroom with two full size beds, another bedroom has one full size bed and a rollaway, and the fourth bedroom has two twin beds. There is a half bath upstairs as well.
We’re not fancy, but we do offer a great place with everything you need for your family to enjoy and build lasting memories. All at a reasonable price!
The chalet is reached by driving through the woods, along an orchard and then climbing to the chalet. At the top you will find ample parking, breath-taking views of the bay, and clean, fresh air. With 32 acres, there are trails to explore through the woods and plenty of room for the kids and pets to romp. At night build a cozy fire in the fire pit, gaze at the bay and stars. You can even make s’mores for the kids or have a cookout using the charcoal grill.

Additional services that may be added would be a personal chef, daily (or every 2 days) housekeeping/turn down service, transportation/limousine, private spa services at the home, yacht rentals, and/or any additional services requested.
The area hosts many activities; including the National Cherry Festival and other local festivals, Michael Moore's Film Festival, arts and craft shows, concerts in the park, casino's, wineries, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes (a must), performances at the widely acclaimed Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Opera House downtown; you're certain to stay busy. Enjoy fishing charter boats, catamaran sunset cruises, parasailing (for those who are brave),
jet ski rentals, hot air balloon rides, our local markets, cherry picking (and other fruits depending upon the season), and hiking trails.
Looking to golf? Perfect area for that! Fantastic golf courses surround Traverse City. Fishing? Look no further. Shopping? How about a large mall, outlet mall, and amazing local shops to find that special treasure. The dining is also fabulous, and we have amazing local chefs that prepare meals that you'll want to tell your friends and family about (as you're looking out at the reflection of the water, or dining by sunset).
